Two weeks ago, GBCLA volunteers teamed up with RVCA to place Christmas trees at select locations in Bobs and Crow Lakes to create sheltered habitat for Walleye. Level 3 conditions are triggered when rainfall deficits fall below 40% of the long-term average and/or when streamflows decline to severe low-water thresholds (typically below the 10-year return period low flow). BioBlitz 2013
Kudos to the GBCLA Wildlife Sub Committee who hosted a very fine BioBlitz 2013. We had 17 wildlife experts who were joined by 82 entusiastic participants occupying 152 spaces over 11 sessions in a 24 hour period-whew! An excellent lunch, provided by Seeds to Sausage, a little body painting and some great banter made for a most exceptional two days. …
